Indy Parks 2015 Summer Concert Series and Movies are heating up right along with the weather, and we’re only half-way through a summer schedule that continues through September! This week’s line up is amazing, starting with Wednesday night’s Jazz on the Point at Eagle Creek Park, featuring Everett Greene; Thursday evening, enjoy either the Indianapolis Municipal Band at 7:00 pm at Garfield Park or the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Holliday Park starting at 8:00 pm. Keep your free music calendar rolling with the incredible jazz sounds of Jared Thompson and Premium Blend, beginning at 6:30 pm on Friday evening at Broad Ripple Park! Finish up the music for your week at Ellenberger Park with Martine Locke performing at 6:00 pmon Saturday, July 18. That’s five free concerts in four nights! If you are a movie fan …  be sure and mark your calendar for Saturday, July 25  “Movies on the Lawn” will showcase Jumanjii at Garfield Park. “Movies on the Lawn” are shown monthly at no cost on Saturday nights. ( Jumanji (1995) PG 104 minutes –  Starring Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, and Bonnie Hunt. When two kids find and play a magical board game, they release a man trapped for decades in it and a host of dangers that can only be stopped by finishing the game. ) Additionally, the MacAllister Amphitheatre will host six nights of “Othello” in late summer in our Shakespeare in the Park series.
