This October, Hoagies & Hops, a beloved sandwich shop in Indianapolis and Indiana Owned member, is making a powerful contribution to cancer research.
Throughout the entire month, the restaurant will donate 100% of sales from their Nan’s Red Skin Potato Salad to support Multiple Myeloma Cancer research at IU Health.
This fundraiser is especially meaningful to Hoagies & Hops’ owner, Kristina Mazza, who is honoring the memory of her grandmother, affectionately called Nan. Nan passed away from Multiple Myeloma in October 2016, and now, eight years later, Kristina is using her business to help further research in hopes of improving treatment and finding a cure for this rare cancer.
A Special Menu Item with Heart
Nan’s Red Skin Potato Salad, a cherished recipe inspired by Kristina’s grandmother, is more than just a side dish—it’s a tribute to family and tradition. During October, every purchase of this menu item will directly support IU Health’s efforts in fighting Multiple Myeloma, offering customers a chance to enjoy a delicious meal while contributing to a meaningful cause.
Authentic PA Flavors in the Heart of Indy
Since opening Hoagies & Hops in 2015, Kristina Mazza has been on a mission to bring the authentic tastes of Southeast Pennsylvania to Indianapolis. With fresh bread from South Jersey, meats and pickles from Philly, and classic PA Dutch Country flavors, her menu is a celebration of her hometown roots. Hoagies & Hops offers a little slice of Pennsylvania comfort food in the Midwest, earning a loyal following for its dedication to quality and authenticity.
In 2019, Hoagies & Hops teamed up with Chilly Water Brewing, adding a culinary element to the popular Butler Tarkington taproom. The partnership has created a welcoming space where friends and families can gather to enjoy great food, beer, and community.
Join the Fight Against Cancer
For Kristina Mazza, this fundraiser is deeply personal, but it’s also an opportunity for the community to come together and make a difference. By simply ordering Nan’s Red Skin Potato Salad, customers will directly contribute to the fight against cancer and support vital research that could save lives.
