During the pandemic, Mel expanded Indiana Owned into an online marketplace, making it easier for people to discover and support local products. Her passion for small business, inspired by her entrepreneurial mother, has driven her career in radio and TV, where she has always promoted local companies.
In 2022, Mel opened Indiana Gifts in Lebanon, featuring Indiana-made products. The store quickly became a popular stop for both locals and travelers, boosting the local economy.
