Fishers Community Garden

Starting this summer, Fishers will begin a new community garden program. Located at Cyntheanne Park, this garden will have 40 10x10 plots, and even some more accessibly-friendly, raised 4x9 plots, those however, are limited. These plots can now be bought for the season for $20. Although each individual gardener will be in charge of planting, cultivating, harvesting, and winterization, there will be many resources that will be provided by the Fishers Parks and Recreation department. Tony Elliot, the Fishers Parks and Recreation director says, "We’ve spent a great deal of time researching what it takes to build a successful community garden, and at the top of that list is a strong, engaged community. With help from residents, it’s our hope this garden program builds opportunities for residents to harvest their own produce, engage with our community and continue to grow with us in the future."
