About Send A Friend Lasagna:

My grandparents owned a restaurant when I was growing up. It’s a different life, growing up in a restaurant, I learned a lot, I saw a lot, but what I remember the most about the restaurant was that it brought our family together. I’ve always loved to cook, and I am a good cook. Then I started watching cooking shows like Emeril, Alton Brow’s Good Eats, onto Chopped, Iron Chef, Master Chef, Master Chef Junior, Hell’s Kitchen, my current favorite show is Beat Bobby Flay. The shows inspired me to be more adventurous with my cooking, to push flavors just a little extra to get the OMG look on my husband’s face. I love feeding people. Big groups, small groups, my family, friends, I love cooking. There’s something comforting to me about cooking, and I really didn’t know what it was until just a few weeks ago. A friend of mines wife died, leaving her husband and her little boy behind. I felt terrible, I wanted to do something for them. So I went into “lasagna mode” as my cousin likes to call it. They were so grateful, and I felt like I had helped, if even for one night, dinner wasn’t something to worry about, it was ready to bake. Lasagna isn’t just for sad times, there are many times when lasagna is appropriate. Weddings (I made my own lasagna for my wedding), Births - you know mom is too tired to make dinner for the next 12 months, Surgery - a nice fresh meal you can pop in the oven. What I’m saying is....lasagna goes with everything. You might be like a lot of people thinking, I want to do something, but I don’t know what to do...lasagna my friend is the answer.
