Indy Holistic Hub to Partner with Indy Winter Farmers Market Expanding Sustainable Living in Indianapolis

Indy Holistic Hub (IHH), whose mission is to connect, grow, and expand the local holistic health community, puts donation dollars where they matter, feeding our neighbors in need.  The IHH is partnering with the Indy Winter Farmers Market and Growing Places Indy to fund the Eat Well Initiative.  The Eat Well Initiative began in 2012 as the first SNAP matching program at Indianapolis winter farmers markets.  It matches dollar-for-dollar on SNAP transactions up to $20/week.  And thanks to the Indy Holistic Hub, those matching dollars will go farther to help feed our neighbor SNAP recipients at the Indy Winter Farmers Market. The IHH will bring members to the IWFM on Saturday, March 25 offering free services and information.
“We are so grateful to the Indy Holistic Hub for their generous spirit.  Our Eat Well Initiative is a very popular program and gaining recognition as more Indianapolis families become aware the Indy Winter Farmers Market will double their SNAP transactions, increasing their buying power of fresh, local, healthy foods,” says Sarah Adams, Market Manager.
“Since my beginning vision of Indy Holistic Hub, I have wanted to donate a portion of our professional membership dues to a local cause that aligns with our spirit and values.  With solid footing, this is the ideal year to do just that.  Working together with Growing Places Indy we will touch more lives and that’s what it’s all about,” says Jennifer Seffrin, Founding Director IHH.
The Indy Winter Farmers Market is open every Saturday 9:00am-12:30pm, November through April at the Circle City Industrial Complex, 1125 E. Brookside Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46202 (south end of the building).   For more information, see the website at:  www.indywinterfarmersmarket.org.
