Nestled on 175 wooded acres in southern Boone County near the picturesque town of Zionsville, The Golf Club of Indiana is just 20 minutes from Indianapolis International Airport and the Monument Circle in the heart of Indianapolis.   At this place so convenient and yet so far removed from the workaday world, we have cultivated, not only an outstanding golf course, but a complete golfing experience, worthy of the highest praise from the game’s top professionals.  The Golf Club of Indiana has been honored by Golf Digest as one of America’s Top 75 Daily Fee Golf Courses.

In past years, The Golf Club of Indiana has hosted The Classic, an event that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for numerous charitable organizations. The Classic has featured such stars as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, Gary Player, Fuzzy Zoeller, Dave Stockton, Jim Gallagher, Jr. and Lanny Wadkins.

The Golf Club of Indiana has also served as a rite of passage for many of the PGA Tour’s younger stars during the regional qualifying tournament for the PGA Tour. In past years, participants have included Tour winners John Daly, Steve Flesch, Ted Schultz, Bob Tway, Rocco Mediate, Bob Lohr, Billy Andrade, and many others. We are proud to have been the longest-standing host in the nation for this important event.

Designed by Mickey Powell and Charles Maddox, The Golf Club of Indiana is worthy of the attention it has received. Its gently rolling terrain, large undulating greens, and many mature trees make The Golf Club of Indiana a beautiful place to play. Water on 15 holes, 72 bunkers (same as par) and championship tees of more than 7,000 yards make the course as challenging as it is appealing. You’ll also find one of the finest practice facilities in the Midwest at The Golf Club of Indiana. Whether you need to work on your driving, chipping, pitching, sand game, or putting, you’ll find our practice area to be unsurpassed.

You will find The Golf Club of Indiana to be one of the most impeccably manicured courses you have ever played, with bent grass tees and greens and our bluegrass fairways mowed to within one-half inch. You will also find our course to be professionally marked, with every hazard and boundary marked correctly and distances noted on the scorecard, sprinkler heads, and cart paths. The paved paths that wind through the entire course and more than 72 Club Car Golf Carts help make The Golf Club of Indiana playable in virtually any weather. Even when other courses in the area are closed, The Golf Club of Indiana is open for business.

Outstanding event yesterday thank you to the club for hosting the Indiana quarterfinals of the drive chip and putt competition. 16 youngsters will go from here to the regional competition and then many on to Augusta Georgia during the Masters.

I haven't played a round of golf here yet, but I've taken private lessons with Susan and I'm currently participating in my second month of evening clinics with her. She is an incredible instructor! She is extremely patient, encouraging, and provides helpful critiques of technique....

She is extremely patient, encouraging, and provides helpful critiques of technique. I've really learned a lot. I'm enjoying getting to use the indoor facilities and the technology that comes along with them now that the weather is cooler. GCI has a lot to offer a beginner golfer like me! I also have experience with their kids program as my stepson attended Summer Camp here. He always had a great time and we were happy with the instruction he received!

A fine course for the area. Entire course is flat, but plenty of water and sand to make things interesting. Staff and facilities are great. The grounds have lost some charm with the housing addition built around the course. Conditions are well maintained.

This course has turned into a goat ranch with cheap housing built all around it. It used to be one of the premier course back in the day. No more.
