About Us

Holder Mattress Co., Inc. began in Kokomo, Indiana, in 1947.  For three generations the Holder Family has designed, built and sold hand-crafted mattresses, serving sleep needs in Indiana and beyond.  Each mattress is custom made and built to order in our factory.  All mattresses are two-sided and can be flipped to ensure long life without sagging.  All raw materials are sourced in the United States, meaning our mattresses are not only made in Indiana, but completely American Made.  Our tradition of building each mattress by hand also allows us to make custom sized mattresses, custom shapes, crib mattresses, pet mattresses and more.  From a very firm mattress to a plush pillow top, we’ve got products for all preferences including foam and innerspring models.  We build a better mattress that proves its value for a life span more than twice that of the national brands.  Our factory-trained, non-commissioned sales staff provide you with an educated experience without the high-pressure sales environment.  Stop in to one of our showrooms and you’ll find we aren’t your average mattress store.  Our passion for high quality, local products is further evident in the accompanying furniture, accessories and gifts that we feature.
