I met with Lauren Kale to learn more about this opportunity. We are considering testing it out for Indiana Gifts. Here is a video demonstrating the process and how a business owner would actually use the service. https://www.walmartgolocal.com/content/go-local/book-delivery-training-video.html

From Lauren: Business owners will need to input their TaxId so we can verify they are a licensed business, as well as enter in their pickup location so we can check that we have coverage. We use the same delivery driver network as the Walmart stores, so serviceability is dependent on being relatively near a Walmart Location. We do cover 95% of the US population, but there are pockets we haven’t reached yet.

Lastly, the cost to use this is a flat price per delivery that is charged to a credit card on file. The price can range from $3.99 – $10.99 depending on how far the delivery is and how quickly it’s needed (we cover up to 15 miles but can extend up to 25 in certain markets). Business owners can input their delivery information and get a price prior to booking. Business owners have full control over what they charge/offer their customers.
