Inaugural Sparks Tech Event Set for November 3

The tech sector is booming in central Indiana. To foster and feed its development, Eleven Fifty Academy and Sparks are working together to  introduce a quarterly experience called Sparks Tech, modeled after the popular networking event, Sparks. The first Sparks Tech event will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from5:308:30 p.m. at Eleven Fifty Academy, 1150 W. 116th St., Carmel, Ind. 46032. Only 85 tickets will be sold; tickets purchased in advance are $50, $75 the day of the event. Information and registration is available at http://www.sparks.tech. Eleven Fifty Academy, and its co-founder, Scott A. Jones, veteran tech entrepreneur, are passionate about being catalysts for the national conversation about tech. The partnership with Sparks to create Sparks Tech is a big step in that direction and for both parties the perfect place to launch the conversation is in the heartland of America, Indianapolis. Similar to Sparks events, Sparks Tech is the place where professionals gather to hear three inspiring and thought-provoking timed talks (two eight-minute talks and a 15-minute talk given by the headliner). In the case of Sparks Tech, the talks will be from CIOs, CTOs and other professionals working in technology who are passionate about change, giving back, and the impact of tech on the human experience. The common experience at Sparks Tech promotes discussion, collaboration, intellectual stimulation and motivation. While Sparks Tech is primarily centered around a show consisting of three timed talks given by technology professionals, there is time to network and enjoy food from Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. Soft drinks are also included and a cash bar will be available. “Unlike other professions, technology is not one that knows any boundaries. Technology touches and transforms lives across the globe. It is an integral part of the breath of humanity today and will continue to be tomorrow. Innovators today seed the inspiration for the technology of tomorrow in the minds of peers and particularly in those who are just joining the field,” said Jones. “Sparks Tech is an opportunity to bring those minds and ideas together.” Sparks founder, Chris Reed, said, “Making connections to advance business opportunities was the initial purpose of Sparks. The partnership between Eleven Fifty Academy and Sparks offers those in the tech field in Central Indiana the opportunity to make industry-specific connections and engage in the national and global conversation. Sparks Tech is a real opportunity for everyone in the area.” Opportunities to sponsor Eleven Fifty Academy’s Sparks Tech events are available. More information can be found at http://www.sparks.tech.
