The most haunting aspect of October for many is not the threat of ghouls, ghosts, or the Goblin King, but rather the marching of time. Many are scared-stiff when reminded that Halloween is a mere fifty-four days until Christmas. One of the most effective tactics to ensure holiday shopping is not an angst-ridden experience is to start early. Midwest Marketplace, an Indiana Owned member, will host its annual Christmas Market the first week of November, and the occasion serves as the perfect opportunity to discover unique, local items for everyone on your list.   

The annual Christmas Market from Midwest Marketplace is a creative solution to a post-pandemic problem. Once the immediate threat of the pandemic had curtailed in 2021, small, local merchants still suffered from the fallout. Karla Gosche-Williams, founder of Midwest Marketplace, recognized that these businesses needed a platform to showcase their creative pursuits, as well as reestablish a sense of community that had been lost. With unwavering commitment to support and grow local businesses, Midwest Marketplace welcomed hundreds of guests in its inaugural year. 

Much like years previous, the event will boast an amazing array of vendors and activities for all ages to enjoy. In fact, the event has expanded beyond the Witham Pavillion to both North and South Centennial Buildings. Guests are encouraged to purchase their ticket early; various tickets, including VIP Admission and Workshop Classes (see below) are limited.

• Meet Santa
  • Greet Jolly ‘Ol Saint Nick and have your photo taken with him!
    • Saturday, November 4th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
