About Us

Cheri Goodwin has always been drawn to baking and connecting with her community. Taking inspiration from her beloved town’s history, which was named after the Cedars of Lebanon, Cheri coined the name Cedar Tree Kitchen and her dream of owning a bakery was born. Cheri bakes fresh items daily, and everything is from scratch. She uses local ingredients and sources her coffee from Julian Coffee in nearby Zionsville. Many of her items are secret family recipes that her friends and family have enjoyed for decades.

Cedar Tree Kitchen opened its doors in December of 2021, marking the start of a new chapter in Cheri’s life. Located just a short walk from Lebanon’s historic downtown square, Cedar Tree Kitchen is a quaint, local bakery, ready for customers. The bakery can be found inside the Just Us building, which is home to ten women-owned businesses, and is your one stop shop for all things pampering with a salon, estheticians, boutique, and—of course—charming bakery to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Cheri and her family are staple members of the Lebanon community. Her children, K.C. and Allison were born and raised in Lebanon and her husband John taught at Lebanon High School for forty years. She regularly works with and donates to the Boone County Cancer Society, Witham Hospital, local high school prom committees, theatre groups, athletic teams, and more.
